If Africa and the developing World aspire
to meet the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDG),
they must be transformed to become self reliant within the
global economy of the 21st century. Africa and Africans must
do so by sheer hard work and a renewed commitment towards
a realization of this goal..
The fundamental problem in many of the countries is situated
in the lack of capacity to face the numerous challenges brought
about by poor leadership in the nation-states, lack of human
resources, and transparency in governance of its people, low
literacy levels, population growth, poverty and diseases.
It is with this understanding that the Institute for International
Training and Development (IITD) was founded in 2005 by Chris
Igodan (PhD) and Solomon Aiyeru.
The focus of IITD is on building and developing human capacity
through effective partnerships and linkages with governments,
municipal and community; as well as institutions and organizations.
